I was away on vacation for almost three weeks, and before I left I kept complaining that I was too busy and that was my excuse for not blogging regularly, well….i didn’t write a word in three weeks but was busy lounging, chillaxing and having fun all over England! Goes to show that it had nothing to do with rest and I just was too lazy to write…or worse still, maybe this writer’s bloc is permanent, where is the BB wailing icon when you need one, damn!Anyhoo, I resumed work on Monday and it has been an interesting week, finally made payment on that very important family thingy I have been meaning to do this year. Don’t ask what, strictly between me and my immediate family. Planning another vacation, this time to Barbados as soon as I recover from the one I just came from and my bosses agree to let me have another leave.
Well, I have tried typing a few times in the past two weeks, last night inclusive but I was overwhelmed by a strong sense of disgust and annoyance at the growing trend of rape, abuse and violence against women. I read online two weeks ago about the “ABSU” student that was raped, and went further to read the trash that was said by the school and some government official saying that she was not a student neither was the incident nor culprits from the state! For crying out loud! A girl was raped and the bone of contention is the school and state? Am I missing some thing here?
Then of course since rape is not important enough to be a crime in this country, some stupid idiots in Kano, thought it was okay to rape a girl that went to serve her country. Seriously, NYSC is becoming a useless pain in the butt if all it means is that we lay down our lives (My heart goes to all the Corps members who have died in the course NYSC) or our dignity/womanhood (My heart bleeds for those who have been raped in the course of same NYSC), if nothing can be done in terms of protecting these grads, please o! Let them stay in their parents houses till they find jobs! Parents can not devote funds and resources training their kids only to be killed by some idiots for very idiotic reasons.
I just listened to another audio violation on youtube, some stupid boys from my very own state, Edo (I could tell they were indigenes from the bushness in their accents) decided that they could play God by bringing judgement down on some Lesbians… I am a Christian, and automatically that puts me against homosexuality in all forms, but what I fail to understand is what gives anyone the right to judge these people. God did not ask us to help him do his work, if he wants to punish them let Him handle it! Afterall, morally speaking we shouldn’t have sex outside of marriage, but how many people have been able to do that? Yet God does not come down with a sword to strike everyone dead, does He?
Enough with the rant, sex hate and sex crime stories seem to flow endlessly online, it is exhausting. Read last night that some woman in her fifties had sex with a twelve year old boy, wait for it....she had AIDS and she knew it! now she just ruined the kids life.
I am so exhausted by all this perversion, These days I see guys that I dont know, and once they have a tough looking face or seem a bit weird, I start thinking he might be a rapist or potential rapist! I am actually getting paranoid on behalf of the rape victims! I guess it’s the Piscean curse, they say Pisces some times tend to take on the problems of others and it affects them a lot.
