One of my all time favorite saying that makes people think I am an incurable optimist, and I totally agree by the way. I like to see the good in everything, I like to think there is a silver lining behind every dark cloud, I like to think that things happen for a reason, I love to look out for the bigger picture, I love to think when you fall or fail there is a lesson to be learnt, but most of all I love to think/believe and accept that no matter how bad things might seem at the moment, it could have been worse.Maybe it comes with my faith as a Christian, maybe I am just a positive thinker, but I am of the notion that when life hands you a lemon, you should not go frowning and screaming that you would rather have an orange, because most times your yelling and screaming won’t get you anywhere, so why not make the best out of what might seem like a bad situation, ergo
I love this Christian quote “God’s will wont lead us where His grace cant keep us” for me it just affirms my belief that it always will pass.
I told a colleague of mine once that we should think of a bad case scenario we know, and there is always something worse. Bad Worse
You are broke you could be broke sick and have no friends
Single Single, jobless and homelessSick Sick, homeless and no friends
Robbed Could have been killed!
My point is there is always someone who has it worse than you. I know how I admire people/friends with families, more money, great jobs etc and they in turn wish for more.
Few years ago, I could only wish for some of the things I have now, and I am very sure there are people around wishing they had my life, just like I wish for certain parts of other people’s lives. To cut my rant and rave short, lets strive for more, lets aim for the stars, but lets not forget to be grateful to God for what we have, because no matter how much you think your life sucks, trust me on this darling, it could have been worse.
