A Couple Of Hours Of Rainfall and Lagos Gets Like This

The rains yesterday was a steady but not so heavy downpour but of course that did not stop the whole of Lagos from experiencing a gridlock yesterday, and even this morning.Makes you wonder what it will be like within the next four months with the 3rd mainland bridge partially shut down, the rains and the normal day to day Lagos traffic!
Makes you want to go on a 4 month vacation only to resume in November after the rains and the repairs.
Seriously, how hard can it possibly be to get functional drainage systems?
And we hear The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) recently warned that residents in Lagos would soon experience a seven-day rainfall. I wonder why they are warning isn't that like normal every year? #JustSaying
