For Ronan: Heart-breaking story of a four-year-old's battle with cancer that inspired Taylor Swift's latest hit 'Ronan'

I read this story, and could understand why Taylor Swift cried while she performed this song last Friday. Look at this beautiful blue eyed boy, and imagine him battling cancer for 9 months and tell me if that does not break your heart in a million pieces.
This piece is my own little way of making people aware of the foundation set up in his name, The Ronan Thompson Foundation.
Swift's lyrics were based entirely on a blog Thompson, 33, starting writing in August 2010, when her son Ronan was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Her bubbly, wide-eyed little boy fought the illness for nine months before passing away in May 2011, just three days before his fourth birthday.
Thompson used the blog as a way to work through her grief at the loss of her child, something she describes as 'the worst thing that could happen to a family.'
