Lately I have been telling myself a lot of things, seriously I have become my very own motivational speaker! Strangely...it has been helpful. Being a Christian, there are always amazing lessons to learn from life, people and Ultimately, the Bible!
Sometimes we get thrown a curve ball....lets make that several curve balls and it leaves you helpless, wondering what to make of them. At the risk of sounding cliche, I am going to still say this, Life hands you a Lemon, make Lemonade.
A friend of mine was telling me that my "make the best out of a bad situation" theory is not very practical, that is just a way of accepting the inevitable, arguably so I might add. W hen faced with a terrible situation, what are the options?
- Cower under and let the situation crush you
- Find a way to turn the situation around to your advantage
Mama didn't raise no fool, so we should refuse to cower under pressure. Half the time, we don't exactly have a solution, but should learn to take charge of the situation, no excuses!
We need to make a lot happen for our self (not without God's help of course!) , and in all honesty, when you make the move towards achieving anything, means of achieving them just gradually flood in. Almost like waking up, you know how difficult it is to open your eyes to bright light? then you make the effort and your pupils dilate, and your eyes adjust to the light... Same difference!
My point is , life is never going to be all smooth sail, there will be storms and turbulence every now and then, but like the surfer, we should learn to ride the waves.
I might not be crazy about lemons, but I sure do love lemonades!
